Crane's Country Store

With a tag line of “Boots, Bullets, Britches and Bologna,” Crane’s Country Store is truly a country store. In business since 1899, Crane’s has been at its “new” location since 1926. With six rooms and over 5000 square feet of home town goodness, visitors can buy a 2-dollar sandwich, a pair of Carhartt jeans, or just sit on the porch or around the wood stove and watch the world go by.

While the number of old general stores is diminishing, Crane’s is still the center of the Williamsburg, Missouri, community. General stores were often used as the town meeting hall for weddings, funerals, church services, and sometimes even for school. They were where people picked up their mail, learned any news, got supplies. The owners took the role of mayor.

The Crane family still holds this kind of role in Willaimsburg. They encourage you to come by, step back in time, and relax a while.
